Courage to Care

The purpose of the “Courage to Care” program is to help students develop critical social and problem-solving skills that in turn help to create a more caring and respectful environment within the school community. The program is divided into four sections-

  • Understanding Feelings
  • Active Caring
  • Resolving Conflicts Peacefully
  • Celebrating Our Differences

Generally, there is a story or an activity followed by a discussion for the lesson of the week. The teachers are present during the lesson and continually reinforce the skills that the students are learning. This program is offered for students in grades 1 and 2.
